This session explores how a high school culinary program evolved into a dynamic, community-driven experience that empowers students, connects with industry leaders, and gains local, regional and national recognition.

I’ll share how I’ve used strategic partnerships with major companies, local restaurants, and nonprofit organizations to grow visibility and opportunity for my students. From leading fundraising events with local chefs to collaborating with media outlets and civic groups to spotlight student success, this session will offer a real-world look at how intentional engagement can build a thriving, high-impact program.

We’ll cover:
• How to develop authentic industry partnerships
• Fundraising through community-based culinary events
• Using social media, press, and storytelling to boost visibility
• Collaborating with organizations to enhance student exposure
• Running student-led events that simulate real-world industry expectations
• Building student pride and professionalism through competition and service

Whether you’re running a CTE course, extracurricular club, or classroom-based initiative, this session will provide practical tools and inspiration to help you elevate your program and create life-changing experiences for students.
