About me
Kristen Peterson is the associate principal at Chesterton High School, and has been an administrator for seven years in the Duneland School Corporation. She has been an educational professional for 27 years, with 20 years as a middle school/high school teacher and coach. In her current role, she oversees the high school's robust internship/work study program, the school's Advisory curriculum and implementation team, school programming and the master schedule. This year, Kristen implemented the G.O.L.D. Team (Growing Our Leaders Daily), as a new initiative geared towards teacher-leaders.
In 2023, Kristen was named Indiana's Assistant Principal of the Year, and she also serves as the Indiana Association of School Principals (IASP) Assistant Principal Liaison. She earned her bachelor's degree from Stetson University in Florida, and her master's degree in administration and supervision from Ball State University.
